What Remains
There are places, landscapes and elements of nature that hold a part of our story.
A flower.
A garden.
A landscape.
A plant that someone once cared for.
Working from your photographs and memories, I transform what you wish to preserve into an original artwork to live with and remember.
I accept a limited number of commissions each year.
An artwork born from your story
The starting point can be a landscape, a garden, a botanical element or a place to which you feel deeply connected.
You do not need to know what the artwork should look like.
We begin with a conversation about what you wish to preserve, together with the images and memories you choose to share with me.
From there, I develop the artwork on paper, within my own artistic language.
An interpretation, not a reproduction
I do not seek to reproduce a photograph exactly.
The images and memories you share with me become the starting point for creating a unique artistic interpretation.
Each artwork retains the aesthetics, materials and sensibility present throughout my practice.
A beauty to live with
I believe in beauty as a way of inhabiting the world.
What we choose to keep close also becomes part of the way we live.
An artwork can accompany our days, transform a space and return us, again and again, to what holds meaning for us.
Because surrounding ourselves with beauty is also a way of choosing what we want to look at, remember and preserve.
A memory, a landscape or a flower can thus become a daily presence within your home.
Tell me what you wish to preserve
If there is a landscape, garden, flower, plant or place that holds a special meaning for you, you can tell me its story.
